WINTER IS HERE!!!
You're not alone if your skin has been feeling dry lately. Cold weather and winds, and indoor heating all assists to remove the moisture out of our skin, leaving your skin dry, scaly and cracked.
ONE - WARM WATER
How good do hot showers and baths feel in the winter? but when possible, when washing your face or hands, choose lukewarm water to avoid stripping as many oils away from the skin.
TWO - MOISTURISE
Moisturise right after you wash, applying moisturiser to damp skin helps seal that dampness into the skin.
THREE - STAY NATURAL
Some moisturizers have petroleum-based ingredients that can further dry your skin in the winter months. Select a natural mosituriser with nourishing ingredients. Choose an Oil-based solutions than a water-based solution, as it’s more likely to help your skin retain moisture in the winter.
FOUR - DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
Teas and hot chocolates are great in Winter, but don't forget H2O, your skin needs hydration from the inside, out. First thing in the morning, a little warm water with lemon can be very refreshing and hydrating.
FIVE - PROTECT
Get used to wearing gloves and scarves to protect skin from cold winds and rain.
